The House of the Spirits [VHS]

The House of the Spirits is a generational tale of life among the ruling class in a South American country, as adapted from the Isabel Allende novel, but the political realities coexist very uneasily with the magical realism in this Bille August film. The star power alone (Jeremy Irons, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Winona Ryder, Antonio Banderas, Vanessa Redgrave, and Armin Mueller-Stahl) should ha…

Testimony of the Spirit (Part 3): Picking Up the Trail
Only when you feel (to some extent) of your Spirit close to you, your spirit close to you, his inseparable from you, then you may be guided by it. It is an indescribable feeling that is actually more than sense, we can more accurately be defined as a knowledge-feeling. And learn to identify it when it happens you can filter illusions that normally obscure your inseparable connection to the upper part of yourself, your true nature, your spirit. When traveling your inner world with knowledge of the knowledge-feeling, your efforts are beginning to become ordained. With this higher sense to start to be able to discern what, in yourself, you need to dismantle, and this, in you, you need to maintain the status you to allow more degrees of spiritual enlightenment to flow through you. And the more the amount of spiritual enlightenment flowing through you do the stronger you feel that know-feel, and the stronger your sense of this know-feeling, the more ordered your steps become.
This know-feeling is in fact always with you to a greater or lesser degree. However, conscious recognition of this know-feeling comes when you start to feel a sense of "where" in yourself is your Spirit. But "where" In this context, is not a place (As in location), but a state of being.
Your spirit is that part of you that evidence. This part of you that observe and judge your thoughts, notes and considers your feelings, and observes and considers your body, and observes and considers your experiences, observes and considers each event which is presented to your consciousness, and each piece of information you're exposed. The Spirit is the Witness. You (As Spirit) to observe the fluctuations and changes that occur around you, but you're not from these fluctuations or changes. You are above change. You are above any temporary or transitional. Life is change, but you (As Spirit) are more than life You are beyond life. Life comes from the Spirit.
Life is the dance of change and transformation driven by an insatiable urge inside or the desire of the Spirit. It is the creative will of the Spirit still at work. Life is a perpetual cycle of birth, growth, decay, dissolution and rebirth that is always at work, the circle life (sort of). Life is everywhere. There is no such thing as death. Death is simply the destruction or dissolution of a form that form particular, but the essence (Spirit) that permeated the form remains "unchanged in its internal aspect, despite countless changes its apparent objective forms. "As in the case of the human body after the soul passes by … (the Spirit is intact, unchanged by this transition and continues to assume a new shape, and even the body itself, after the soul has left it …) is also alive after death than during the life of the person, activity rooms like the solution, instead of building in this case. "- Yoga Gnani Ramacharaka Yogi. Watch where you go, life is everywhere. There is no place in the world of life without. None does not exist, everything is and can never cease to be – Spirit. Life is a kaleidoscope of shapes assumed by the Spirit. The Spirit is the well in any expression of life springs, and is the only witness to all these expressions.
Stop now and take a moment to go yourself and give your account for something. Choose any subject you want, the only criterion is that it is not an upheaval in store for you. Maybe you'll want to consider a nearby object, a memory peaceful breathing. Anything you want, just take a few moments to think, then come back.
You will see that you consider your thoughts, feelings and thoughts will appear perhaps the emotions aroused by these thoughts, and physical birth of these emotions. But notice that you are able to observe all these events (your thoughts, your emotions and physical sensations). You keep them outside of yourself that you give them your attention. It is like looking in a mirror that you can not be both resulting and reflection. You can not be both the ER Observ and what is observed ed. You can not be both the ER and what is regarded consider ed. You can not be both the witness and ER which is witnessing ed. Think about it, when you move your attention to something else and changing your thoughts and feelings change, and physical sensations that you change the experience – you just the same as you are now? Are you You're not the same thing regardless of the particular thought that you give your attention, regardless of the particular emotion you may be feeling at any time, regardless of how your body changes. If you are the same regardless You of these variables, you must exist independently of these variables must be above them. You must be and are above your thoughts, your emotions above, and especially your physical sensations and the physical body.
Henry Reed in his book about Edgar Cayce Channeling the Higher Self suggested a similar exercise meditation contemplation / to help facilitate the recognition Spirit. I offer here because often it may be useful to express the same idea in a different way. Sometimes it makes understanding easier. This is the I AM Meditation and awareness are the following instructions:
Pick a simple word or picture that you feel comfortable having mind. When you decide on this point, focus on it, and nothing else. If you choose the word "happy," Just think that word, again and again. If you chose the image of a ball, just as the image in your mind, keep looking, and nothing else.
After doing this for a few minutes, you'll realize that this is not easy. other thoughts and images come to you. Your mind easily distracted. That's okay, keep trying. Whenever you find yourself thinking about something else, just return your attention to your attention …
Now think about what happened. You repeated (or watched) your attention in your mind. Time time, we would be aware of other thoughts and images. They seemed to come from a mind of its own, regardless of your willingness to stay focused. You want to return your attention to your attention and thought renegade you away again. It was almost like a tug of war …
Were you aware of your efforts to stay focused, the persistence of intrusive thoughts, and the frustration you felt. You may also be noticed comment on the mental process that goes through your mind.
Now that you reflect on these moments, realize that you were aware of any why it happened. So please note that somewhere in the back of your mind, he has witnessed. It was the silent witness. She simply observed. Although your inability to see maybe you frustrated, the witness felt no emotion, he is content to observe everything. It has not taken sides in the struggle, made no comment, but just knew.
Does awareness seems something familiar? Is not this the same consciousness that is always with you in the background …? We usually do not pay much attention to its presence in the background. We are busy with our experiences, do this and do that. Our sense of "I" who we are, arises from our thought experiments and doing. However, it is really only one i with respect to small, I am silent in the background. In fact, This is often called the silent witness of conscience I am, or I am awareness. This is the first level self-consciousness higher. It is the gateway to experience the truth of the Bible statement: "Be still and know I am God. "
Your mind is that the constant presence behind all the changes that occur around you, your thoughts (which are always changing or moving from one topic to another), your emotions (which fluctuate constantly), and your body (which is constantly changing). At the center of all these flows is witnessing you play everything. So you are not your body, you do are not your thoughts, you are something more. And that something more is what we call the Spirit.
Do not you feel the truth of what you are you the same today than you were six? Your body has grown. You have experienced a myriad of emotions over the years. Many thoughts, preferences and desires have crossed your mind since you were a child. Your understanding is more mature (hopefully), you are wiser. But despite all this, you move are basically the same now as you were then. To feel this truth is to feel and connect to your spirit. To feel deeply this truth is to know that you are an eternal being, to know that you are invulnerable to any real (as in reality, lasting or permanent) injury. In reality, you are untouchable.
If your mind was something incidental to your body or your mind, your mind would be subject to the same variability that is inherent in both the body and spirit. But your spirit is not subject to such instability. Your mind is the constant factor that reflects these variables. Your thoughts, emotions and your body are all the instruments, or better yet – Appendices – of your Spirit. To complicate your true nature with that of an appendix would be like declaring: "I am my arm," or "I am my toe." And just as it is impossible to command authority over the body of the location of your arm or location your toe, it is impossible to order a real authority on the life of anywhere other than your Spirit. The Spirit is the source of your free arbitrator.
Consider this:
"Try to put aside (your spirit) for a consideration! You can try using From now until the disappearance of the infinite to infinite, and you'll never be able to put aside (your spirit) for review. You may think you can, but a little reflection will show that you are simply reversed some of your mental qualities or faculties. And in this process which is (your Spirit) do? Just cancel and consider things. Can you not see that (your spirit) can not be both and consider the thing considered – Of the Examiner and the thing considered? Then the sun shines upon itself by its own light? You can consider the (Spirit) of another person, but it is your (Spirit) which envisages. But you can not, as a stand (Spirit) aside and see you as one (Spirit). So what is the evidence that we have there is one (Spirit) to us? This: that you are always aware that they consider them and the examiner, instead of considered and examined thing – and then you have proof of your own consciousness. And this report gives us this consciousness? Simply this and nothing more: "I am". …
And if, ultimately, you find that there is something that refuses to be set aside and reviewed by (Spirit). And that something is (Spirit itself) …
If you were able to cancel the (Spirit), for consideration, which would be to consider? Who could look at except (Spirit) itself, and it is here, how could it be there? "- From Ramacharaka Raja-Yoga Yogi.
Often we are so wrapped in our thoughts, our internal reflections in the emotions we feel, in physical sensations we experience that we actually getting caught up in these manifestations of the Spirit and lose sight of who we really are. We lost in the excitement inherent in these events evolving. And the more we remain wrapped in our thoughts, emotions or feelings individual, more confused we become. We confuse ourselves with the personality that we express what is not our real nature because personality is variable. This is the ultimate identity crisis. When so much of our time is spent in our thoughts entangled in our emotions, our physical sensations, we lose sight of our eternal nature of our invulnerability, our indestructibility of our great power, divine spark in the center of who we are. Feelings of helplessness, fear, unworthiness and other negative emotions, are all symptoms a soul suffers a crisis of identity (which is almost more than the world population).
If you agree to be more aware of your life experience, you will notice that your moments of clarity coincides precisely with those moments when you were able to step back in yourself and show the turbulence surrounding you, where you have been able to focus your consciousness entirely in the present moment. You be a step backwards is an instinctive impulse or a conscious decision not important. Moments of clarity come when you are not get carried away by your thoughts, emotions or physical sensations. And moments of clarity come when you kiss a perspective control non-judgmental when you focus your mind. It's like you centering the eye of the storm.
Your Spirit is the peace that lies at the heart of all the troubles, it is the unmoved mover. This part of you that is real and therefore untouchable, constant, eternal and immutable as it is above the ebb and flow intrinsic to what we call life. The proof of these intrinsic qualities of the Spirit is the self through inner reflection deliberate and consideration. But before passing on some of these considerations, it should be noted that the recognition is that you witness in the first step in Learning Ground yourself in your mind. Beyond simply acknowledging there is to know. The mere recognition is a bit cold and impersonal. It is difficult to stay connected to a viewpoint that is only by and watches. Standing outside his thoughts, emotions, experiences, feelings physical, etc. is fine for a while, but sooner or later we have to move the business of life. And life means movement and action, and "get their hands dirty" (so to speak). This is knowing that your mind helps you stay centered in itself when you are not held view of the observer faithful. To know your Spirit is to listen who you are who you are guided by your inner light, at any time, regardless of the circumstance you're in the perspective or you hold. Because for sure, embracing your spirituality does not mean that you become so uninvolved in life. It simply means that you look and approach life to understanding what is real and what is unreal, what is sustainable and what is transitory, that will happen and what will remain.
