Buying a used boat?
I am very interested in getting a 15/12 small boats to fish in this summer. I do not want to spend a ton of money (less of $ 2,500), but you want to know what should I ask when I was looking for and start watching the boats. I found one that looks good to From Craigslist, here is the link .. I http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/boa/571131427.html in NH and will not be able to leave soon, but before paying the amount total agreement that I would like to exit first. Do something like putting a deposit down and taking the boat in the spring / early summer a normal thing to do in this situation. I know it is short of money for this boat, but do not want to get screwed if the boat starts sentence. Any advice or tips would be great. Yes, it is customary in the States to put a deposit on a boat with a written offer. I personally would like to sea trial the boat at that time and not wait "until the season". Another good idea is to have a Mechanical Inspection Unit (compression test and check the oil in the foot) A survey is always a good idea and does not cost, but a couple a hundred dollars. After the sea trial / survey so you can either buy the boat or renegotiate the defects with the ship. Regarding intended use, I personally would not take this boat on the Gulf or the ocean. It is strictly a boat in the bay and better suited for skiing and the tube. As for what you are really looking for a center console would be 21-24 feet over your needs. Think Neptune, Mako, Sea Pro, etc. Another type of boat would a walk around Cuddy. Built a large trophy as Mako, Sea Pro, Sunbird, etc. You can set your budget a little but I know you can find one in this price range. Used boats are a great idea, but you have to do homework and get the inspections. I know that answer questions.

Virginia Beach was where the first permanent English settlers landed before continuing to Jamestown. In October, 1607 the London Company representatives erected the First Landing Cross to thank God and to Reassert England’s claim to the land. The phenomenal Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is over 17 miles long combines bridges tunnels and 4 man made islands is a tribute to man’s ingenuity.
There are also a number of great day trips to take from Virginia Beach. Within 60 or so mile are the historic cities of Jamestown, where the first permanent English settlement was established and Williamsburg, Virginia’s first capital and where history is relived every day. Another great place to take children and adults is to Busch Gardens for a fun day of exciting rides and shows. Even closer is Norfolk which has the Chrysler Museum of Art, General Douglas MacArthur memorial and Nauticus, the National maritime Center with over 150 hands on exhibits. Also close by is Newport News with the maritime Museum and the Virginia Living Museum.
For those who enjoy outdoor sports, Virginia Beach has more than its fair share. There are 11 golf courses including 1 designed by Arnold Palmer’s company. Of course, Virginia Beach offers many water sports including jet skiing, scuba diving kayaking. There are also many fishing boats where the captain will sail you to his favorite fishing spots.
Virginia Beach is also a great place to shop. Go antiquing, stroll through the art galleries or browse the book stores. There is also a farmers market where you can pick up fresh fruits and vegetables and of course air conditioned malls one with over 120 stores and another with over 170 shops and services.

unless of course he dropped your boat off the trailer, or ran it full throttle into an underwater obstruction.
